Apussuit Adventure Camp
Apussuit is a high mountain wonderland for cross-country and downhill skiers, and snowmobilers alike.
The huge glacier provides plenty of backcountry routes for tour skiing, while nearby peaks are food for hungry heliskiers who can use the mountain huts as their basecamp while exploring the enormous, pristine hinterland.
Families can spend their days basking in the sun on the terrace of the main hut while skiers zoom past on one of the nearby glacier tongues.
Ski teams are known to use Apussuit as a summer training ground for both cross-country and downhill skiing.
Apusuit is not as you know ski areas from Europe or North America with huge ski lift systems and groomed trails. Skiing up here is based on low impact, few people, lots of space, snowmobile ski-towing, and the adventurous spirit of the visitors.
