Everyday Adventurers – Part 1

Meet 21 year old Emilie Olsen and her three brothers Aka (13), Salik (15), and Aqqaluartaa (20) from Sisimiut, who literally grew up wearing skis.

The Everyday Adventurers are ordinary people living a life less ordinary, and in this series we document the background of some of Destination Arctic Circle’s adventure products and how they play out in the everyday life of locals.

As Emilie says:

“We were brought up in a family where everyone is a a skier, and they have all developed the same passion. For us, skiing is a lifestyle more than anything. We get to spend a lot of time outdoors, and there’s so much joy both in skiing together and competing as individuals.”

It’s a good thing that the cross country tracks start right at the center of Sisimiut, then.
