Expedition style dogsledding in Kangerlussuaq
So you are ready to take a step up and get closer to the stars? Well, here’s your chance to ride out of Kangerlussuaq for a night in a backcountry hut.
On an overnight dogsledding trip like this you will get to know the basics of driving a sled, participate in everyday activities, and maybe even help in a hunt that supplies food for dinner. What matters most is that you get up close and personal with the Arctic.
As night falls the camp is prepared, and on starry evenings the sky often comes alive in Northern Lights.
This is life as Greenlanders have lived it for millenia, and for a couple of days you will get a chance to live a bit of it with them. So grab that harness, strap in that dog, and call out for the pack to set in motion.
The trips can be extended and turned into expedition like traverses of the famous Arctic Circle Trail, a 3-4 day trip from Kangerlussuaq to Sisimiut 160 kilometers
Practical stuff
The trip includes all food and accommodation.
If you are not familiar with what clothing to wear in Arctic conditions we recommend renting fur and skin clothes from World of Greenland Arctic Circle. They can also provide you with the right sleeping bags to keep you warm and comfortable no matter what Nature throws at us.
Pricing
