Full day Ice Cap adventure

Very few people get much further onto the Ice Cap than 200 meters but the glacier turns into a unique landscape only moments from the edge zone, with hills and valleys covered with numerous crystal blue melt water streams, rivers, waterfalls and lakes.

Equipped with crampons and hiking poles, and a skilled guide, everybody that can walk for 3 hours, can join this unique experience on 500 meters of ice beneath you!

When we have reached a beautiful spot, far from land, we will enjoy a lunch which is included. Water is also included…straight from the meltwater-lakes!

On the trip to and from the Ice Cap, we pass through very beautiful landscapes and there are good chances of spotting reindeer, musk-oxen and many species of birds and flowers.

Practical stuff
This is not a difficult excursion and during Summer, the Ice Cap is not slippery and with crampons and hiking poles it is actually very easy to walk on. Bring a good jacket and preferably trekking boots.
