Up above the world

The world just looks different from a helicopter hovering over a mountain peak, cruising along a glacier rim, or diving down between the rock walls lining the sides of a stunning fiord.

And if you thought you might get a chance to see everything a little more from a distance, well, think again. Once you’re airborne that’s when you’ll really understand how stupendously vast and remote this country is.

In Kangerlussuaq flights take you up over the Ice Cap itself, landing you on a Nunatak, one of those strange islands of rock in a sea of jumbled ice, before flying over ancient glaciated hills, along lush, remote valleys and the mighty Kangerlussuaq fiord itself.
