Adventure Central

Kangerlussuaq literally is the gateway to Greenland, and the international airport links up with multiple domestic flights every day over the summer.

There is no other place in Greenland like this former US Airbase which is now a an adventure hub for dogsledding expeditions, backcountry tour skiing, cruise services, animal safaris, and adventures to the mighty Ice Cap which stretches out like a low cloud on the Eastern horizon.

To top that off thousands of musk oxen live in the mountains around town, and a dirt road connects directly with the Ice Cap for exceptional guided drives, hikes onto the ice, and even overnight camping up on the ice itself.
