Musk ox hunt

Summer and Fall are perfect for spending time in the mountains, setting up a camp, and hunting for Musk Oxen in the Kangerlussuaq area.

Our hunting practices are sustainable, and we never shoot more than we can carry out each day. This means that we carefully select the animals we target, and we abide by strong hunting ethics and the regulations of the trade.

Hunting out here demands that you’re in good shape, since we walk in and out of the area, also carrying the trophies on our way out.

We help prepare and ship all trophies and we can also provide contacts to a conservator at your destination.

Depending on the length of the hunt and the time of year we get to the area near the tent camp by ATV or boat, and all trips include local transfers, one trophy license per hunter, all food and drink, and a finishing trip to the Ice Cap along the spectacular road from Kangerlussuaq.

Practical stuff
Please note that prices exclude flights to and from Kangerlussuaq and any hotel accommodation.

A musk ox hunt can be combined with a reindeer hunt for a longer, even more thrilling experience.

Musk ox hunts can also be done as a Winter option in March/April and for this trip we drive the ATVs over the fiord to a backcountry hut which is then our camp for the duration of the hunt.
