Reindeer hunting
Hunting reindeer is an important part of local culture and subsistence, and when you join us for a trip into the Kangerlussuaq back country looking for reindeer you walk in the footsteps of countless generations before you.
We look for reindeer in September, when the frosts up high drawer them down to lower slopes and meadows, but even then you should be prepared to work for the trophy.
Reindeer move about in large flocks but can be difficult to stalk, and this makes it an exhilarating and demanding hunt – so make sure the rifle is properly calibrated before leaving for Greenland.
Practical stuff
We help prepare and ship all trophies and we can also provide contacts to a conservator at your destination. Each hunter may also export 10 kilos of fresh meat, and we can assist you with shipping logistics.
We reach the area near the tent camp by ATV and boat, and all trips include local transfers, one trophy license per hunter, all food and drink, and a finishing trip to the Ice Cap along the spectacular road from Kangerlussuaq.
Please note that prices exclude flights to and from Kangerlussuaq and any hotel accommodation.
