Sisimiut sightseeing by bus

On the drive through Sisimiut you will get a profound impression of the town and the local life here. Our tour starts at the old heliport which was Sisimiut’s gateway to the world until 1998. Today, the site is part of the sled dog grounds.

On our way through town we will stop at the fish and meat market, where we take a look at the catch of the day. Passing the town hall, we will make our way to the town’s southern parts, where quite a number of the original small hunter’s and fishermen’s houses can still be seen.

From Sisimiut’s highest point, the Arctic Circle Viewpoint, we will enjoy an impressive view on the town and the sea. Finally, we will visit the historical town centre, where the original colonial buildings from the 18th and 19th centuries today are home to Sisimiut Museum.
