Snowmobile from Sisimiut to The Viewpoint

The terrain east of Sisimiut is an ideal playground for snowmobiling and we follow trails for both dogsleds and snowmobiles, while other tracks are reserved solely for dogsledding.

The route passes the ski lift and the slopes of Alanngorsuaq 6 kilometers from town before heading east along the Arctic Circle Trail to a point app. 400 meters above the Kangerluarsuk Tulleq fiord where a cairn marks an important waypoint on this famous trail leading all the way to Kangerlussuaq.

You often have long stretches of the trail to yourself but once you reach The Viewpoint it seems that, as if by magic, everyone out driving today has congregated here.

And locals sure love to hang out up here during weekends, enjoying the view, drinking coffee, and chatting with friends and family showing up like so many others.
