Winter diving on the Arctic Circle
Arctic diving really isn’t much colder in winter, as the temperatures of the Davis Strait around Destination Arctic Circle does not fluctuate much over the course of a year.
This makes for great diving conditions all year long, and we absolutely love Winter diving with it’s crisp air and snowy shorelines. What’s more, diving in the late winter months will most likely bring you up close with smaller icebergs in a blue and white world of extreme clarity.
As you connect with the deep around you the melting fresh water forms layers of haze that create surreal swirling effects which play in the rays of lights from above.
And for that complete experience of the rugged remoteness in this underwater Arctic kingdom you can go wreck diving under the ice in a seldom visited environment. We know wrecks in the areas around Sisimiut and these are truly unique dives guided by the skipper and his extensive local knowledge.
This is diving like no place else on earth. Pristine, rough, and beautiful.
We can customize diving trips to your abilities and interests, going on short wreck dives or longer expedition style adventures further up or down the coastline.
